What Does Netanyahu’s Latest Statement Say For the Future of Israel? (Guest: Joshua Waller)

The co-host of The Israel Guys podcast and “American cowboy in Israel” discusses what happens to Israel now.

In spite of what is currently happening between Israel and Hamas, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is planning for the future.

new report from Times of Israel reveals that, under Netanyahu’s leadership, Israel has a ten-year plan in place with its occupation in Gaza. It intends to use one or two years as “the first stage,” using this time to “eradicate” its opponents. The following eight will enable an alternate government to take shape – if it can.

Netanyahu believes in direct control over Gaza, even though Israeli military rule won’t likely be in place. That means keeping control of the area, and making sure to keep an eye open for hostile Palestinian forces that may remain following Hamas’ defeat.

While it sounds like Netanyahu wants to take control of Gaza for the long haul, the real question is how that will be done. The war with Hamas continues onward, and based on recent negotiations, a ceasefire still isn’t quite within reach. At least, not yet.

What does this long-term plan say for the future of Israel? Joining us now to discuss this is Joshua Waller. He serves as Operations Director for HaYovel, a group that specializes in calling for volunteers to assist with needs within Israel. He is also a co-host of The Israel Guys, and spends quite a bit of time discussing the good report of the Land within the United States.

His expertise on all things Israel make him a great subject for this interview. Welcome, Joshua!
