InVest USA’s Michael Letts speaks on the latest supposed actions by the troubled agency.
Many people have been calling for concealed-carry to be passed nationwide as a potential solution to the many active shooter events that have taken place this year. However, the government seems stagnant on that solution without real numbers – but there may be a reason why those haven’t been provided.
A new report from the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC), according to Fox News, indicates that the bureau’s data has several “massive errors” when it comes to keeping track of active shooter events. As a result, it has not been able to properly tally how many have been stopped by armed citizens working under concealed-carry rules.
The report notes, “Although collecting such data is fraught with challenges, some see a pattern of distortion in the FBI numbers because the errors almost exclusively go one way, minimizing the life-saving actions of armed citizens.”
Based on the report, 34.4 percent of active shootings were stopped by armed citizens. However, the FBI data indicates that only accounts for 4.4 percent of them – a number that’s way off.
