As Domestic Insurrectionists Ignite Mayhem, Self-Defense becomes Essential
As tensions erupt and continue across Los Angeles, with scenes of violent rioting, federal buildings under siege, and protestors hurling rocks from overpasses, Stephen Willeford—the Texas hero who stopped the Sutherland Springs church shooter—offers a clear-eyed warning and a powerful message rooted in common sense and constitutional rights.
“What is going on in L.A. is not peaceful protest,” Willeford says. “Burning flags, destroying property, injuring first responders, and throwing rocks at cars from highway bridges can cause serious injury—even death.”
Willeford, a strong Second Amendment advocate and spokesman for the Gun Owners of America, believes Americans must take responsibility for their own safety—especially in chaotic environments where law enforcement is stretched thin.
“You should defend yourself at all times,” he insists. “If you’re driving to work and protestors start throwing rocks or Molotov cocktails at your car, you have every right to carry protection.”
The current violence in Los Angeles, he argues, is exactly the kind of situation where lawful gun ownership can prevent tragedy and restore order.
“Legal guns can cause de-escalation when a situation spirals out of control. Police can’t be everywhere. It’s just common sense to be prepared.”
Stephen Willeford is available for TV, radio, and print interviews to discuss the urgent need for armed self-defense in light of rising civil unrest, the real-world value of the Second Amendment, and why everyday Americans must be empowered to protect themselves—legally and responsibly.
