Justice Finally Served To Those Attacking a Pro-Life Clinic, But Why Did It Take So Long? (Guest: Scott Wheeler)

Investigative reporter sounds off on the recent arrests in Florida, but wonders what, if anything, could come next.

For a while there, many people were wondering why the Department of Justice were so hellbent on pursuing those that attacked pro-abortion centers, but didn’t provide that same level of urgency to those that damaged pro-life ones. But in a new statement, they proclaimed that some movement is being made on that front.

In a statement released today, the Department noted that two people have been charged by a federal grand jury for spray-painting threats on reproductive health services in Florida. The mid-20’s suspects were reportedly “engaged in a conspiracy to prevent employees of reproductive health services facilities from providing those services.”

The duo reportedly spray-painted a number of threats, including “If abortions aren’t safe than niether [sic] are you,” “YOUR TIME IS UP!!,” “WE’RE COMING for U,” and “We are everywhere.” They’re also charged with violating the FACE Act, threatening or interfering with police officers at said facility, located in Winter Haven.

If convicted, the two suspects could face up to a maximum of 12 years in prison.

While pro-life advocates could consider this a win, the real question is if the Department of Justice will continue to move forward on more arrests, considering so many radical extremists that have attacked and vandalized pro-life centers and organizations are still at large.

Here to discuss this further is Scott Wheeler, an investigative reporter who serves as chief correspondent for American Investigator Television Magazine, as well as President of Restoring Justice. His expertise should prove useful in this matter.

Q&A:

  1. What are your overall thoughts on these arrests, as well as the statement the Department of Justice released surrounding them?
  2. Do you believe they may be trying to make good with pro-life advocates following months of attacks and fire-bombings that have gone uninvestigated? It seems a bit odd they’ve been quiet on investigating attacks on these centers up to this point.
  3. Do you think the Department of Justice may move forward with more pro-life investigations and arrests of their attackers? There have been hundreds of attacks with no arrests made.
  4. The battle between pro-life and pro-abortion has escalated quite a bit following the reversal of Roe vs. Wade last year. Where do you see this battle going in the months ahead?
  5. With Biden’s recent announcement for abortion protection (namely with chemical abortion pills), do you think states may try to toughen up their abortion laws? What opposition do you believe they’ll face as a result?
  6. What can people do to help those that are difficulty finding justice over such matters?

They can contribute over at RestoringJustice.US.

7. Where can we learn more about what you’re working on, and what you and your team will be investigating next?

You can keep up on what me and my team are looking into over on my official Twitter page.
