Special Guests

Rome if you Want To (Guest: Alireza Jafarzadeh)

Negotiations with Iran over Nuclear Weapons moves from Oman to Italy on Easter weekend

Alireza Jafarzadeh, the Iranian American intelligence expert and Deputy Director of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), who first exposed Iran’s secret nuclear sites in Natanz and Arak, is uniquely positioned to break down a story that’s flying under the radar—but could reshape the region: secret U.S.-Iran backchannel meetings. The first occurred recently in Muscat, Oman; the second is scheduled for Easter weekend in Rome. These clandestine sessions come as Tehran voices growing concern over Trump’s rhetoric and the possibility of “maximum pressure” being applied to Iran by the Trump administration.

After October 7, any U.S. dialogue with Iran without Israeli input is viewed with concern. The stakes are too high. Iran is actively arming its proxies, enriching uranium near weapons-grade levels, and stoking war in Gaza and beyond.

Jafarzadeh’s sources inside Iran point to regime paranoia. Khamenei appears to be reluctantly taking counsel from his advisors to negotiate with the Trump administration.

Jafarzadeh and the NCRI support Trump’s continued application of ‘Maximum pressure’ on Iran. The NCRI seeks the removal of the repressive regime in Tehran and even has its own Presidential candidate prepared to fill the vacuum. Her name is Maryam Rajavi, who represents a stinging rebuke to a regime that has targeted women specifically over many decades.

Alireza Jafarzadeh is available for interviews.
