RAV Host Available on Deportation Mandate

The Get-Out Vote: Republicans Could Self-Deport from Congress by Ignoring Deportation Mandate as Caravan set to Flood Texas

The 2026 midterms are shaping up to be a referendum on whether Republicans will stand behind one of President Trump’s central 2024 campaign promises: mass deportation. Jeff Crouere, longtime political commentator, RAV television host, radio host and author of America’s Last Chance, argues that voters already gave Republicans their answer. Now the GOP faces a choice between defending Trump’s immigration agenda or backing away from it.

  • Voter mandate for mass deportation
  • Republicans keeping their immigration promises
  • Political risks of backing away from enforcement
  • Sanctuary cities challenging federal immigration policy
  • Immigration’s impact on the 2026 midterms

Any support Trump has been losing from among his base is not because his promises, like this one, are undesired. That support is withheld because such promises do not come to fruition. In his latest Townhall commentary, “Americans Voted to Deport Illegal Aliens,” Crouere points to Trump’s 2024 campaign pledge and argues that immigration enforcement was not a hidden agenda item but one of the most prominent promises presented to voters. He cites polling showing substantial support for deporting undocumented immigrants and contends that the administration’s subsequent enforcement actions represent the implementation of policies voters were explicitly promised.

Crouere can discuss the growing political battle inside the Republican Party over immigration enforcement, including criticism from prominent Republicans who argue that some aspects of the administration’s enforcement efforts have gone too far. He can examine whether those lawmakers are responding to changing public sentiment — or distancing themselves from a policy that helped define the GOP’s 2024 campaign.

He can also address the broader consequences of the administration’s immigration crackdown, including the political fight over sanctuary cities, the treatment of migrants without criminal records, attacks on ICE officers and the competing arguments over whether deportations are contributing to declining crime.

With the midterms approaching, Crouere argues Republicans should embrace rather than retreat from the immigration policies Trump campaigned on. He can explain why he believes immigration enforcement could become a defining issue for Republican candidates — and why backing away from Trump’s agenda could create a disconnect between elected officials and the voters who put them in office.

While mass deportation is only one of the many campaign promises not being met, a big problem is it’s one of many that aren’t being met.

Jeff Crouere is available for interviews to discuss Trump’s deportation agenda, the Republican immigration divide, sanctuary cities, ICE enforcement, the midterms and what the 2024 election actually signaled about America’s immigration priorities.
