China Mocks Washington: CCP State Media Ridicules American Leaders Exposed in Epstein Files
Political leaders entangled in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal aren’t just compromised — they’re exposed. And the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) knows it (video link of CCP news report below). Beijing is now openly mocking Western elites it views as morally weak, vulnerable to pressure, and unfit to lecture anyone on human rights. Through state propaganda arms like CGTN, the CCP isn’t seeking justice for Epstein’s victims; it’s ridiculing the politicians, institutions, and media figures it believes can be blackmailed, silenced, or manipulated. This is information warfare at its most cynical — exploiting elite corruption not to reform the system, but to humiliate it and strip it of credibility on the world stage.

The segment features CGTN commentator Wang Guan, who attacks the U.S. handling of the Epstein files. He highlights that alleged victims’ names and photos are publicly exposed while powerful figures’ names remain redacted, sarcastically labeling it “accountability, Western style.” The framing is deliberate: America lectures the world on human rights, Wang suggests, while shielding its own elites.
CCP Openly Mocks U.S. Leaders
That message is then boosted by Jackson Hinkle, an online provocateur with a record of pro-CCP messaging and so-called “MAGA Communist” positioning. His repost strips the clip of its origin context, allowing CCP propaganda to masquerade as independent criticism — and rack up millions of views among Western audiences already cynical about institutions.
What viewers are not being told is critical. CGTN is not an independent newsroom. It is the international arm of China Central Television, operated under the China Media Group and directly overseen by the Chinese Communist Party’s Central Propaganda Department. Its explicit mission is to advance Beijing’s global narrative — often by highlighting Western dysfunction while obscuring China’s own record on censorship, political prisoners, and human rights abuses.
This Epstein segment fits a long-running pattern. CCP state media aggressively amplifies U.S. scandals — racial unrest, gun violence, political corruption — not out of concern for justice, but to argue moral equivalence or superiority: if America is broken, the argument goes, it has no standing to criticize Beijing. Academic studies, Western intelligence assessments, and media regulators have repeatedly classified CGTN as a propaganda outlet, not journalism.
Casey Fleming can speak to why this matters now. As information warfare intensifies, the CCP is no longer just promoting China — it is actively shaping how Americans perceive their own system by laundering state messaging through social platforms and sympathetic influencers. The danger isn’t that the Epstein case is discussed; it’s that a hostile authoritarian regime is exploiting it to weaken trust, inflame cynicism, and blunt criticism of its own abuses.
