The former football star faces a tough battle ahead against Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock.
Even though we’re weeks past the elections that decided the fate of the Senate and House of Congress, Georgia still faces an uphill battle, with a run-off election set to take place to decide between Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock and Republican candidate and former football star Herschel Walker.
In an effort to provide Walker additional support, author Guy Mitchell has launched a new campaign called “Floridians For Herschel.” With it, he’s asking Florida citizens to reach out to their friends in Georgia to help drive the vote in Walker’s favor.
Mitchell joins us now to speak further about the campaign, why he started it and what he hopes the overall goal will be.

- Why, as a Florida resident, did you create a campaign for a candidate in a run-off election in another state? What motivated you to take the jump?
- Do you believe Walker sits at a disadvantage in the forthcoming run-off election, between bad press and Warnock reportedly building up a bigger cash advantage?
- What are you hoping that the “Floridians For Herschel” campaign will do? Do you believe other states could launch similar campaigns as well?
- What is it about Herschel Walker that you personally appreciate?
