8-Month Pregnant Mom Shoots and Kills 2 Intruders, defending her Children

An 8-month pregnant mom from Florida used an AR-15 to shoot and kill two intruders to protect her children and home yet virtually no major news outlet carried the story

The use of an AR-15 for home defense is becoming more common but it’s the been so heavily branded as the ‘enemy’ by major news outlets and opportunistic politicians.

Alan Gottlieb of The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said that anti-gun-rights groups trying to disarm law-abiding citizens will have blood on their hands if they ever succeed, adding, “This was an obviously harrowing experience and we are delighted that the King family is alive, safe and well.”

Gottlieb recently co-authored the book “Good Guys with Guns,” a book that discusses self-defense cases, including those involving citizens armed with modern semi-auto rifles.

 Q&A:

  1. How could anyone ignore or put down such a heroic act as an 8-month-pregnant mom defending her kids and family?
  2. What exactly is an AR-15 and is it really an assault weapon or a weapon of war?
  3. Back in July, also in Florida, a man used an AR-15 to kill two home invaders, one of who was wearing a mask from a horror movie, according to ClickOrlando.com. What do you know about that?
  4. How does an AK-47 differ from an AR-15?
  5. What are the current recent gun laws that have been enacted that further the right to keep and bear arms?
  6. What are some upcoming gun laws proposed that are either good or bad for lawful gun owners?
  7. There may be no small amount of irony in the fact that anti-gun former Texas Congressman Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke, who famously vowed, “Hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47” during a Democratic debate two months ago bowed out of the presidential race over the weekend. Do you feel there’s some sort of poetic justice there?
  1. Where may we get more information on your organization or get a copy of your new book “Good Guys with Guns”? and after this event will there be a sequel called “Good Gals with Guns”?
