Exhuming Zorro: Keystone Cops Finally Search Epstein’s Old Ranch; May Need Carbon-14 to ID the Bodies
As investigators descend on Jeffrey Epstein’s remote, former Zorro Ranch in New Mexico searching for the possible remains of two missing girls (and possibly others), the raid is reopening some of the darkest and most unresolved questions surrounding Epstein’s trafficking empire. This past weekend, hundreds of protesters descended on the ranch. Only then did authorities decide to actually conduct a search. By all appearances, the Feds just seem to be engaged in optics and running out the clock on investigations that should have been sewn up years ago.
Few people have examined that world more closely than investigative journalist Nick Bryant, who not only acquired Epstein’s Black Book in 2011 before publishing it in 2015 but was named in emails specifically by Epstein. Former intelligence operative Robert Eringer, who has long warned that the secluded ranch may hold evidence authorities never fully pursued. As police scour the property for burial sites, Bryant and Eringer say the search should finally force a reckoning with the lingering mystery of what really happened at Epstein’s most secretive estate—and whether the full truth about his operations has yet to be uncovered.
- Police are now searching Epstein’s remote Zorro Ranch for the possible remains of at least two missing girls.
- For years, critics have questioned why the secluded compound was never fully searched while Epstein was alive.
- Survivor testimony has long described the ranch as one of the most secretive locations in Epstein’s trafficking network.
- If human remains or forensic evidence are discovered, it could reopen the entire Epstein investigation.
- The raid raises the explosive question: what else might still be hidden on Epstein’s most mysterious property?
Nearly seven years after the death of Jeffrey Epstein, authorities are finally combing through one of the most mysterious locations tied to his alleged trafficking network: the sprawling Zorro Ranch in New Mexico.
This week, New Mexico investigators launched a new search of the remote property following explosive allegations that the bodies of two foreign girls may have been buried near the ranch after violent sexual encounters. The investigation was reopened after previously sealed files and emails surfaced suggesting that Epstein may have ordered the burial of victims on the property.
The ranch—purchased by Epstein in 1993 and developed into a massive compound with a private airstrip—has long been at the center of disturbing accusations from survivors who say they were trafficked there as teenagers.
Yet despite years of allegations, Zorro Ranch was never thoroughly searched while Epstein was alive, and earlier state investigations were halted in 2019 at the request of federal prosecutors pursuing the case in New York.
Now, as investigators scour the property for evidence—including possible burial sites—the raid raises new questions about whether critical evidence was overlooked for years and whether the ranch may still hold secrets about Epstein’s network.
Bryant is the investigative journalist behind The Franklin Scandal and a longtime researcher of Epstein’s trafficking network. He has spent years analyzing documents, witness testimony, and intelligence links surrounding the Epstein case and has argued that the full scope of the network—and those who enabled it—has never been exposed.
Eringer, a former intelligence operative who once served as a security consultant to Prince Albert II of Monaco, has written extensively about Epstein’s activities and the unusual secrecy surrounding Zorro Ranch. In previous commentary, Eringer raised questions about why the ranch—one of Epstein’s most secluded and heavily guarded properties—was never aggressively investigated while Epstein was alive.
Together, Bryant and Eringer can examine:
- How credible the allegations of buried victims at Zorro Ranch may be
- Why the property went years without a full forensic search
- What survivor testimony and newly released files suggest about what happened there
- Whether powerful figures connected to Epstein could still be implicated
- And what investigators might realistically find so many years later
If bodies or evidence are discovered, the implications would be staggering—not just for Epstein’s legacy, but for the lingering question of who else may have known or participated.
Bryant and Eringer are available to discuss the search and what it could mean for finally uncovering the truth behind Epstein’s most secretive estate.

ABOUT NICK BRYANT…
Bryant has often focused on the plight of children from lower socioeconomic backgrounds in the United States, and he’s been published in the Journal of Professional Ethics, Journal of Applied Developmental Psychology, Journal of Social Distress and Homelessness, Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved, and Journal of School Health. He co-authored America’s Children: Triumph or Tragedy, addressing the medical and developmental problems of lower socioeconomic children in America. His mainstream and investigative journalism has appeared in USA Today Magazine, Playboy, Salon, Vanity Fair, New York, GEAR, Gawker, and Zero Hedge. He spent seven years investigating a child sex trafficking network that was covered up by state and federal authorities, culminating in The Franklin Scandal: A Story of Powerbroker, Child Abuse, and Betrayal.
He has also spoken about child trafficking at several conferences, including the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation’s 2019 international convention and the 2020, 2021 and 2023 Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation Global Summits, and the 2025 International Human Trafficking & Social Justice Conference. Bryant’s LinkedIn profile shows that he’s definitely not a lightweight. He’s also authored Compromised: The Politics of Sex, Lies, and Blackmail, and The Truth about Watergate: A Tale of Extraordinary Lies and Liars.
He is the Director of the 501(c)(3) Epstein Justice, which is dedicated to justice for the Epstein victims and government transparency in the Epstein case. Epstein Justice is lobbying for an Independent Congressional Commission, because it is our only recourse to justice. The Epstein scandal will wither and die in a congressional subcommittee, but Independent Congressional Commission often uses non-government personnel that will bounce the issue out of political corruption and partisan infighting.
Nick Bryant is currently working on his latest book, EPSTEIN UNREDACTED, which will be an unflinching cumulation of his 15-year investigation into the Epstein case.
