The former Mayor of Shiloh discusses what Iran may do next, even as it currently sits in a ceasefire with Israel.
Just days after the U.S. struck three critical nuclear targets in Iran, it appears that it has reached a temporary ceasefire with Israel, which U.S. President Donald Trump notes is going “very well.” But the real question is what Iran may do next once its fight resumes.
A new report from AP suggests that, even though the tactical strike was highly effective, it didn’t stop Iran’s nuclear production for good. In fact, it appears that production has only been set back a few months, instead of being “fully obliterated” as Trump promised.
That leaves some question as to what could happen in the future if the facilities were able to become operational again – or, for that matter, relocated to a more secure location.
What does this mean for the fight between Iran and Israel? Will the ceasefire hold? And if not, what happens next?
Joining us now to discuss this further is David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and Founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. Welcome, Mayor Rubin.
Q&A:
- What are your thoughts on this report that Iran’s nuclear facilities may not be “totally obliterated” after all?
- Do you believe they may be able to properly rebuild these facilities sooner rather than later? If so, what does that mean for its fight against Israel?
- Is it possible that Trump will continue to try and push for this ceasefire, despite the threat that looms with these facilities?
- What do you think Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should do at this point? Should he look further into this potential nuclear threat? Or focus his resources elsewhere?
- Where do you see the Israel/Iran conflict going in the months ahead?
- Tell us more about the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund and how it can help those in need.
