This Popular Singer Actually Handed Out “Plan B” Emergency Contraceptive Pills At Her Concerts (Guest: Jim Harden)

The CEO of CompassCare questions the celebrity’s dangerous actions, as well as the outpour of support from pro-abortion groups.

As the war over abortion rages on, one celebrity has suddenly put herself on the front lines – and potentially endangered others as a result.

Olivia Rodrigo, a popular performer who originally appeared on Disney programming, recently took to supporting her pro-abortion stance by handing out condoms and lubrication to those attending her concert. However, the real concern was the “Plan B” pill that was also being given out – an emergency contraceptive pill.

While many pro-abortion groups – and even women’s sexual health groups – supported the move, it was creating a danger bigger than expected. The problem is that a lot of younger girls, under the age of 18, attend these concerts. And even with adult presence, there’s a chance they could still get a hold of these items.

As a result, Rodrigo’s team has halted the practice of handing out these items, instead turning to “safer” alternatives that provide information, including T-shirts.

Surprisingly enough, there was disappointment in this coming from pro-abortion supporters. Robin Frisella, community engagement director for the Missouri Abortion Fund, noted, “While we are disappointed to learn that other abortion funds will not get the same opportunity, we are encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive response. We can’t speak to why this decision was made, but we hope this conversation highlights the work being done by abortion funds across the country.”

It’s bad enough that Rodrigo thought it was fine handing out “Plan B” pills to younger attendees. But the fact she’s getting support from groups to do so is even scarier.

Joining us now is Rev. Jim Harden, CEO for CompassCare, which runs several pregnancy centers across the United States. Harden’s firm belief in the value of life – and stance on the abortion argument – makes him an ideal guest for this interview. Welcome, Rev. Harden!

Q&A:

  1. Why would Rodrigo actually hand out “Plan B” pills to young concert goers? Was she really that driven by her thoughts on pro-abortion?
  2. Does she realize what danger these pills could cause in people? Did her team even do the research, you think?
  3. Do you believe she should have been charged for handing out such items, especially in states that are currently outlawing abortion?
  4. She’s ceased in handing out these pills, and, oddly enough, we’ve seen several pro-abortion groups that were fine with her giving them out. What are your thoughts on these groups supporting her actions?
  5. As the Presidential election looms, where do you think the issue of abortion will be covered? How heated do you believe the argument will become?
  6. You actually have a personal matter in this topic, as one of your CompassCare locations, in Buffalo, came under attack from a firebombing, in which suspects were caught on video but never arrested. Tell us more about this and what frustrates you the most about it.
  7. Tell us more about CompassCare and the service it provides to others.
  8. Where can people go to learn more about CompassCare and what your team is doing?
    1. Answer: They can visit our official website at CompassCareCommunity.com.
