After weeks of anticipation (and to some, worry) from a number of leaked documents, the Supreme Court has passed the overturning of Roe vs. Wade in a 6-3 vote earlier today. This will no doubt send shockwaves across the United States, but many pro-life advocates see this as nothing short of a victory.
In a press release earlier today, Allan Parker, president of the Justice Foundation, noted, “It is time to stop killing children and injuring women which includes ‘devastating psychological consequences.’ Now, in all fifty states, women can use Safe Haven laws to eliminate the burden of parenting, if they voluntarily choose to do so.” He concluded the statement by saying, “This is a great day for America.”
That said, many are bracing for backlash from pro-choice advocates, fearing that their reactions could result in continued protests and unexpected violence.
Parker now joins us to discuss the Roe vs. Wade overturning, and what’s to come from here. We welcome him to the show.
