Roe vs. Wade Officially Reversed, Marking a Huge Victory for Pro-Life Agencies (Guest: James Harden)

In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court, after weeks of controversy from leaked documents, has finally decided to overturn Roe vs. Wade, removing the constitutional right to abortion that’s been standing since 1973.

With the decision, Justice Samuel Alito noted, “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, including the one on which the defenders of Roe and Casey now chiefly rely – the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment.”

With that, CompassCare’s pro-life agencies score a huge victory in preserving the life of unborn babies. However, challenges lie ahead for those angered by the decision, with the possibility of more violence towards the company’s pro-life centers, as they’ve seen in the previous weeks. CompassCare’s facility in Buffalo New York was firebombed a few weeks ago.

Joining us now to discuss this decision is Rev. James Harden, M. Div., who serves as the CEO of CompassCare Pregnancy Services. He also pioneered the first measurable and repeatable medical model in the pregnancy center movement.

  1. What does the overturning of Roe vs. Wade say for you and those with you at CompassCare?
  2. Do you think such a decision was inevitable, with so many states setting laws revolving around abortion?
  3. That said, how do you think those against the decision will react? Do you believe things will become more violent in the weeks ahead?
  4. What advice do you have for those that are angered by the decision of Roe vs. Wade?
  5. Your center in Buffalo, New York was firebombed a few weeks ago. Tell us about that and do you think we’ll seem more similar domestic terrorism against pro-life counseling centers?
