For the past few months, a special House committee has been digging deeper and deeper into the actions surrounding last year’s “insurrection” on the White House. But now The Guardian reports that the committee could be releasing its interim report on its findings before the elections take place this November.
The report will supposedly make the rounds sometime in October, and could affect how some voters feel about Trump-backed candidates or favorites, depending on how damaging the report could be. It has left some feeling that the release of the report is a “calculative” move, in the hopes of diminishing the face of certain Republican nominees in favor of Democratic ones.
Bennie Thompson, who serves in the Democratic chair of the committee, noted that, “The goal is to have…some information pushed out, obviously, before the November election” and promised that, due to this, it “won’t be a quiet period.”
Here to speak to us on the matter is Joshua Philipp, who serves as an investigative reporter with The Epoch Times. He hosts EpochTV’s Crossroads program and also took part in the production of the Epoch documentary The Real Story of January 6.
