The former Mayor of Shiloh discusses the tactical strike of three nuclear sites by the United States, and what this means for the ongoing Israel/Iran conflict.
U.S. President Donald Trump has made a key decision – and now Iran knows exactly where he stands.
On Saturday, Trump announced that American war planes have managed to wipe out three nuclear sites in Iran. While many see this as a huge blow against Iran, there’s still work to be done.
“Remember, there are many targets left,” Trump noted. “Tonight was the most difficult of them all by far, and perhaps the most lethal. But if peace doesn’t come quickly, we will go to those other targets with precision, speed and skill.”
One of the key targets was Fordo, a uranium enrichment that was notably important to Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Whether they have any sort of back-up plan or not is not yet known.
So what happens next? Joining us now to discuss this further is David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and Founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. Welcome, Mayor Rubin.
Q&A:
- What do you think about this decisive strike by the U.S. that has taken out key nuclear facilities in Iran?
- What does this say about Trump’s relationship with Israel and Netanyahu? Does this serve as an olive branch of sorts, or is there still work to be done?
- How much of a benefit do you believe this gives Israel in its ongoing conflict with Iran?
- So what happens next? Will Iran try to strike certain targets in retaliation? Or will Israel push with its initiative first?
- Where do you see this conflict going in the months ahead? Is surrender by Hamas and Iran more than likely at this point?
- Tell us more about the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund and how it can help those in need.
