The Battle Over the Border Between Texas and the White House Continues To Escalate – In the Wrong Direction

Law enforcement veteran Michael Letts believes the White House needs to do more in its efforts to control the migrant crisis.

President Joe Biden and his administration are doing very little to handle the ongoing border crisis – but they seem to have no trouble criticizing Gov. Greg Abbott from doing something about it.

Right before the weekend, Abbott used the Texas National Guard to seize control of a public park, which has been known to be a “weak point” in which migrants have crossed over into the border. But the Biden administration was quick to criticize the move, noting that Customs and Border Protection was unable to enter the area.

In a statement, the White House said, “Whether it is leaving migrants on the side of the road in the dead of winter, installing razor wire to make Border Patrol’s job more dangerous, promoting extreme and unconstitutional laws like S.B. 4, or his latest actions in Eagle Pass, Governor Abbott has repeatedly proven that he is not interested in solutions and only seeks to politicize the border.”

But this marks the first statement in some time that has revolved around the White House, nor any concern for what’s happening with the Border Patrol. Abbott has apparently been forced to take matters into his own hands, and the administration doesn’t seem too fond about it.

Joining us now to discuss the matter further is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt. Letts is President, Founder and CEO of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various sponsorships and charitable groups. His expertise in all things law and order make him a helpful expert on this subject. Welcome, Mr. Letts.

Q&A:

  1. Do you think Abbott went too far seizing control of a public park and calling in the National Guard, rather than letting his own Border Patrol agents handle the matter? Has the migrant crisis really gotten that far out of hand?
  2. Why is the Biden administration quick to criticize Abbott’s moves, yet doing very little in terms of producing their own to handle the matter?
  3. Do you believe things will get worse in Texas? Could Biden possibly try to file some sort of legal injunction to take back some form of control?
  4. Donald Trump recently posted footage of soldiers keeping migrants out of Texas using riot shields. What are your thoughts on this? Is the situation really that severe?
  5. Where do you see the migrant crisis playing a part as far as the 2024 Presidential Election is concerned? Could this situation possibly cost Biden the re-election he’s seeking out?
  6. Let’s say you were in charge of Texas. How would you go about resolving the border crisis? What lengths would you go to keep migrants out?
  7. You’re the creator of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable groups and sponsorships. Tell us more about that, and why support for fellow officers is so important right now.
  8. Where can we learn more about InVest USA, and how those interested can help their fellow officers.
    1. You can visit our official InVest USA website, and learn more on the official Invest USA Twitter account. You can also learn about my new initiative at RestoringJustice.US, where we discuss lawful issues surrounding citizens of the United States.
