”The Battle Begins” – Is Israel Ready? (Guest: David Rubin)

The former Mayor of Shiloh discusses the ongoing conflict with Iran, and if Donald Trump could potentially get the U.S. involved.

Following months of fighting against Hamas, Israel has finally launched its initiative against Iran. Over the course of the past few days, both have been producing strikes against one another, with Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warning, “The battle begins.”

With that, however, Israel appears poised and ready. Along with launching offenses in both the air and on the ground, it appears that U.S. President Donald Trump is more than ready to call in U.S. military assets to strike Iranian facilities, though he still insists his diplomatic solution is on the table.

So what happens now? Will Iran be forced to turn to its nuclear assets in an effort to push back against Israel? Could a compromise possibly be reached, or are the two sides well beyond that point?

Joining us now to discuss this further is David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and Founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. Welcome, Mayor Rubin.

1. What are your thoughts on Israel being in conflict with Iran? Was it inevitable, considering its talks with its nuclear facilities?
2. Do you believe Iran will use a nuclear option at some point? Or will the U.S. play a part in making sure they are kept at bay?
3. Speaking of the U.S., Trump seems warm to the idea of using U.S. military assets to help out Israel. Is this a surprising turnaround considering how his relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has gone as of late?
4. Do you believe the U.S. will join the fight sooner rather than later? If so, will Iran have no choice but to work out a diplomatic solution?
5. What about Khomeini’s recent statement about “The battle begins”? Is he trying to reassure the strength of Iran?
6. Speaking of said solution, Trump believes it is still on the table. But do you believe the battle between Israel and Iran is already too deep to recover from? Or is there a possibility?
