A spokesman for the Gun Owners of America discusses the Supreme Court’s decision to shut down Mexico’s effort to sue gun makers.
Finally, an unnecessary battle has come to a close at the hands of the Supreme Court.
This week, it voted in a unanimous decision to reject the Mexican government from suing American gun manufacturers for cartel violence. It had believed that such manufacturers were responsible for fueling its war with the cartels, but in truth it was Mexico’s own failed disarmament policies all along.
The Court noted that Mexico’s lawsuit “attempts an end-run around the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA)” and noted that American gun makers are not to be held liable for the criminal misuse of firearms by third parties.
It marks a stunning victory for the Second Amendment and gun rights as a whole – and reminds the world that gun manufacturers are not to blame when it comes to violence acts.
Erich Pratt, who serves as Senior Vice President of Gun Owners of America, noted, “This ruling is a powerful reminder that Americans don’t answer to globalists or foreign governments. Mexico’s gun control dystopia has empowered cartels and disarmed the innocent – and now they want to export that disaster to the U.S. The Supreme Court just told them: ‘Not on our soil.’”
A spokesman for the Gun Owners of America joins us now to discuss this victory further.
