Recent Bumps In the Stock Market Could Create Some Problems For Those Saving Up For Retirement (Guest: Birch Gold)

Even though it’s a little bit of a rise at the moment, the recent problems with the stock market have created a problem for some that have been wanting to live comfortably in retirement.

A recent drop earlier this month has resulted in not only a beating on the bank accounts of Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, but also average Americans. A report by CBS News suggests that trillions of dollars in value have been lost, leaving some unable to retire, even with planned savings and 401Ks in effect.

The drop apparently affects two groups in particular. Those with IRA’s have managed to lose about $2 trillion; while those with 401Ks followed closely behind with a $1.4 trillion loss.

Alicia Munnell, director of the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College, noted about the report, “Anyone who has to retire when the market is down is in a bad position. Younger people, you can kind of wait it out – these things have come back time and time again. But people who use their retirement money to support themselves really suffer in this kind of event.”

Speaking with us now about the fluctuations on the stock market is a representative of Birch Gold, who can provide some weight on the matter with their knowledge in investments and tangible assets. (This could be either Brett Winterble or Dr. Ron Paul.)

Q&A:

  1. With the state of the current stock market, do you see any sort of “safe haven” for those currently using their 401k or IRA’s for a possible retirement?
  2. What does this say as a whole for the stock market in general? It’s seemed to have bounced back from the low point, but can it continue to be on the rise?
  3. Is there any advice you’d give to someone that relies on an IRA or 401k to rest easy in retirement?
  4. What do you think this will do for the state of employment? Will some people have to get back into a working life just to make ends meet until things get better?
  5. Birch Gold Group is a company that specializes in tangible assets, including gold and silver. Do you believe these were serve as key investments for those that may have gotten burned by the crypto market?
  6. Where can we learn more about Birch Gold Group, gold IRAs, and other services provided by Birch Gold.
