Spin Doctors for Hamas Meet their own Crossfire in Gaza Hospital

When news broke that an Israeli airstrike killed more than a dozen people at a Gaza hospital—including an Al-Jazeera “journalist”—the mainstream press rushed to frame the event as yet another act of Israeli aggression. But the real story runs deeper and demands critical examination.

Al-Jazeera is a state-run “media outlet” based in Doha, Qatar, which is a hotbed of Muslim Brotherhood extremism. This news outlet is seen by many as nothing more than a propaganda arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, the parent organization of Hamas. The ‘Arab Spring’ in Egypt in 2011-2012 was about giving the Muslim Brotherhood power there. It was Al-Jazeera who had the support of the Brotherhood.

It is Qatar that funds Al-Jazeera. It’s like PBS in the U.S.

According to the IDF, the hospital was not simply a sanctuary for the sick. It was being used as an operational outpost by Hamas, with a surveillance camera mounted on its roof feeding intelligence directly to the terror group. The strike was aimed at dismantling that tool of war—not targeting patients. Tragically, the destruction extended beyond the camera. Yet, the greater tragedy lies in Hamas’s deliberate decision to embed itself within civilian infrastructure, guaranteeing that when Israel responds, headlines will scream about casualties rather than culpability.

The death of an Al-Jazeera journalist in the blast is being held up as proof of Israeli brutality. But Al-Jazeera is not an objective outlet. It is the media megaphone of the Muslim Brotherhood, providing cover for Hamas while presenting itself as a neutral news service. To mourn the death of one of its operatives as though he were an impartial correspondent is to confuse propaganda with press freedom.

If one recalls the show M*A*S*H, imagine the absurdity of a radio operator embedded with doctors, broadcasting troop positions from inside a medical unit. Such behavior would invite attack, not sympathy. Hamas, with Al-Jazeera’s complicity, has done just that—turning a hospital into a shield while its allies disseminate propaganda to the world.

David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh and founder of Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, and Pastor Mark Biltz, founder of El Shaddai Ministries, are both uniquely positioned to speak to this issue. Rubin can highlight Israel’s impossible dilemma: defend itself against enemies who use human shields or capitulate to propaganda campaigns. Biltz can address the moral and biblical dimensions of truth in warfare, exposing how media manipulation is part of the broader spiritual and geopolitical battle Israel faces.

This is not merely about one strike or one journalist. It is about a war fought not just with rockets, but with words, images, and narratives. The question is whether the West will continue to fall for Hamas’s cynical playbook—or whether it will recognize that the real victims are those trapped under the rule of terrorists who exploit hospitals, media outlets, and human lives alike.

Q&A:

  1. How should people understand the difference between a legitimate journalist and someone effectively serving as a propaganda operative for Hamas?
  2. Why is Al-Jazeera often described as the media arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, and why does that matter in the current war?
  3. What responsibility does Hamas bear for turning hospitals, schools, and press outlets into military outposts?
  4. When Western media report on these incidents, what crucial context do they leave out that the public needs to hear?
  5. How does Israel balance the impossible dilemma of defending itself while being judged by headlines crafted through Hamas’s propaganda strategy?
  6. Do you see parallels between today’s media battles and biblical or historical examples of truth versus deception in warfare?
  7. What message should Americans take away about how propaganda is used to erode support for Israel in the court of public opinion?
  8. If Al-Jazeera journalists are knowingly aiding Hamas, how should Israel and the West respond to their deaths in the line of “reporting”?
