Rather than avoiding abortion during campaign season, Harden says Republicans should embrace the personhood debate, require recorded congressional votes, and make every candidate explain whether every human being deserves equal protection under the Constitution. He also argues Congress should tie the issue to future spending negotiations, ensuring lawmakers cannot ignore the constitutional implications while debating federal priorities.
