Prior to the 1973 Roe v Wade ruling legalizing abortion nationwide, New York had already legalized it in 1970. At that time, the state became the abortion capital of the U.S. through abortion tourism. Now, as conservative states once again restrict the practice in a post-Roe America, New York is doubling down on abortion tourism.
Q&A:
- How has the state of NY been preparing for abortion tourism?
Answer: New York Governor Hochul allocated twenty-five million in tax payer dollars in two phases to protect and expand abortion infrastructure in the state. Phase 1 included giving $10 million to private practice abortionists to enhance security for their facilities and services even while their competitors, pro-life medical pregnancy centers are being firebombed and threatened. Phase two is the allocation of the remaining $15 million to for-profit abortionists at a minimum of $300,000 per gift.
- What has Governor Hochul’s response been to attacks on pro-life medical pregnancy centers?
Answer: Gov. Hochul hid behind a spokesperson to say, “Governor Hochul condemns violence of any kind, and the State Police stand ready to assist….” After forty-seven attacks on pro-life pregnancy centers and zero arrests, it appears the operative phrase in Hochul’s statement about New York law enforcement is “standing by.”
- What is the purpose of giving additional funds to for-profit abortionists in NY?
Answer: All the phase two money is intended to be used to recruit more abortionists, expand facilities, and add tele-abortion tools to sell more women dangerous chemical abortion drugs. If the abortionist has more than one location, they will receive an additional $50,000 for each, plus and extra $5,000 for every 25 abortions performed up to $250,000.
- What is CompassCare’s response to the attacks against pro-life medical pregnancy centers?
Answer: While the abortion empire enjoys free tax payer funding and the protection of their monopoly by biased elected officials targeting their competition with PR smear campaigns and unjust investigative legislation, the Church through CompassCare continues to grow even under threat of firebombing and further violence. CompassCare not only is expanding their firebombed Buffalo facility but is also purchasing a facility in Albany while expanding into ten strategic regions nationwide through twenty-first century telehealth tools.
- What is telehealth and how will CompassCare use it to reach and serve more women facing unplanned pregnancy?
Answer: Telehealth reduces the time it takes for a woman facing unplanned pregnancy to be seen by a nurse from 24 hours to 24 seconds. CompassCare is expanding into ten strategic locations through these twenty-first century tools, and is in the process of giving them away to 650 pro-life medical pregnancy centers nationwide.
