Netanyahu Cancels Trip to U.S. over Vote on U.N. Resolution (Guest: David Rubin)

The Former Mayor of Shiloh discusses the cancellation, as well as what could come next.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu canceled the trip of a high-level delegation to the U.S. after the Biden administration chose to abstain from a U.N. vote on a resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire in the Israeli war with Hamas. Netanyahu wanted the U.S. to veto the resolution from the United Nations Security Council.

Netanyahu explained the U.S. decision “hurts both the war effort and the effort to release the abductees.”

The resolution did not condemn Hamas for their terrorist attack that killed nearly 1200 people in addition to the 240 they kidnapped. According to State Department spokesman Matthew Miler, that is the only reason the U.S. didn’t take the step to overtly approve the resolution.

Joining us now to discuss this controversy is David Rubin, the former Mayor of Shiloh Israel. Welcome, David.
