Jane’s Revenge Reportedly Planning “Night of Rage” Event If Roe vs. Wade Is Overturned – But Is This the Right Way To Fight Back? (Guests: Jim Harden and Michael Letts)

In the pending days to the possible overturning of Roe vs. Wade, thousands of women are already planning to protest the Capitol and other Federal buildings in response. One group, however, may take their actions much further.

According to Breitbart’s Instagram page, the radical pro-abortion group Jane’s Revenge is already planning a huge protest in the face of the decision. Posting its plans on the Anarchists Library website last month, the group noted that the event will be called “Night of Rage: An Autonomous Call to Action Against Patriarchal Supremacy.”

The group notes, “This is an event that should inspire rage in millions of people who can get pregnant…and yet, the response thus far has been tepid. We have agonized over this apparent absence of indignation. Why is it that we are so afraid to unleash hell upon those who are destroying us? Fear of state repression is valid, but this goes deeper than that.”

While the group notes that it has reason to be angry with the possible overturning of the landmark abortion rule, some are questioning whether this is the right way to go when it comes to “fighting back,” as it were. Joining us now is an expert that will provide weight on the subject.

Rev. James Harden, M. Div., serves as the CEO of CompassCare Pregnancy Services and pioneered the first measurable and repeatable medical model in the pregnancy center movement.

Michael Letts is founder and CEO of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to officers across the country, through a number of charitable programs and sponsorships.

We welcome our guest to the show.

Q & A:

  1. After seeing what’s happened with riots and protests over the past few years, does it seem clear that violence may not be the answer when it comes to trying to argue back against a court decision?
  2. Does posting an online manifesto such as the one Jane’s Revenge posted seem like a sane choice, instead of arguing the points on why to protest in a much clearer voice?
  3. After documents leaked about the potential overturning of Roe vs. Wade, why do you believe the Supreme Court is hesitant on announcing its decision? Is it weighing additional arguments, or do you believe it’s taking its time to find the right way to announce its overturning?
  4. Do you think politicians could be doing more in this effort? Or is this something that’s clearly on the shoulders of the Supreme Court?
  5. If protesting isn’t the answer, how do you believe that those opposed to the overturning of Roe vs. Wade should respond? Or is there an ideal way.
