Israel War with Hamas Hinges on Latest Hostage Deal (Guest: David Rubin)

While much of the media has focused on the students protesting Israel, the ongoing war with the terrorists of Hamas sees hope for an end as Israel – with help from the U.S. – has offered a ceasefire in return for the release of as many as 33 hostages over a several week period.

Hamas was presented with a new hostage proposal that some believe could lead to an end to the conflict.

Hamas has said they will give their answer Wednesday. If the deal is rejected. Israel may move forward with an invasion of Rafah.

David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, has been monitoring the events of the war and the effort to broker a deal. He joins us now to discuss hope for an end to the conflict.

Q&A:

1. Tell us about this deal. Do we know the details?

2. Do you believe Hamas will accept this proposal?

3. Will the Israeli cabinet approve it?

4. Today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned we will see an invasion of Rafah either way.  If Hamas accepts the deal, will this lead to the return of all the remaining hostages? Could it end the war?

5. If Hamas rejects the deal, is an invasion of Rafah inevitable?

6. Why is the Biden administration against an invasion of Rafah, either way?

7. Tell us more about the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund and how it’s helping people right now.

8. Where can we learn more about the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, as well as what else you’re working on?
