The writer for American Mind discusses where Biden may be using the ongoing trials for his benefit.
Criminal trials are currently ongoing for former President Donald Trump, accusing him of a number of activities. But could someone be using these woes to their advantage? For instance, current President Joe Biden?
Biden is aware that Trump will be his key rival with the re-election taking place this fall, since other candidates have since fallen out. However, he may be amplifying matters with Trump’s legal woes to make him look better when proceedings build up starting later this summer.
Kenin Spivak, who serves as writer for The American Mind, noted how Biden is coordinating these, in an effort to keep Trump “in courtrooms and not campaigning; sapping his finances; and eroding support among independents.”
What’s more, Spivak pointed out key examples with each case, such as the Georgia Election case being an effort to deprive him of First Amendment rights, and the New York “hush money” case, which he believes is trying to “turn irrelevant misdemeanors literally into a federal case.”
Spivak joins us now to discuss the matter further.
Q&A:
- Do you firmly believe that Biden is using Trump’s legal woes to his advantage? What would you say is the most substantial proof showing this?
- Is Biden pushing for more media coverage of Trump’s trials in an effort to make him look bad? Or are news outlets doing this themselves?
- What about social media? Could Biden potentially try to sway voters that way, if he hasn’t already?
- What do you think will happen to Trump in the months ahead? Will these legal cases do enough damage to throw him off the campaign trail, or will he soldier on?
- Tell us about your work on American Mind, and where people can go to read it.
