Laughable Terrorist Comics Say Trump Showing ‘blatant double standard’ in Negotiations
Wait, is Hamas actually claiming that U.S. President Donald Trump is guilty of using double standards in his negotiations with them? Isn’t this the same group that will only release individual Israeli hostages in return for Israel releasing hundreds of terrorists?
“That’s not projection,” says David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, “That’s called unmitigated gall.” Rubin further points to Hamas targeting civilians for termination while Israel goes out of its way to avoid such casualties on the other side.
There’s a lot of talk about where the conflict between Israel and Hamas goes at this point, as critical aid is just about to run out in Gaza. But many are also wondering what kind of impact U.S. President Donald Trump will make trying to speak directly with Hamas.
Over the course of the week, Trump’s administration has been working on direct negotiations with Hamas, which has reportedly rubbed some Israeli administrators the wrong way. But Trump explained, “We are helping Israel in those discussions because we’re talking about Israeli hostages.”
This comes at a time when Israel is set to send out a delegation to the Qatari capital of Doha this week, in an effort to provide aid back to Gaza and continue negotiations for the remaining hostages kept in captivity by Hamas.
So the real question is…what happens next? Will Trump’s involvement in the matter help bring peace to Israel? Or do some think that he’s pushing too hard when Israel is trying to make its own level of progress?
Helping us answer this question is David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and Founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. Welcome, Mayor Rubin.
