Jim Harden, CEO of CompassCare, voices concern over the Department of Justice’s deprioritization of protecting pro-life Christians.
As the nation awaits a U.S. District Court ruling on Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. U.S. Food and Drug Administration—potentially outlawing chemical abortion—Maoist Antifa is continuing its attacks on Christian, pro-life pregnancy centers. CompassCare’s Buffalo office, which was firebombed on June 7, 2022, was attacked again on March 16, 2023. In alignment with both the rhetoric of Governor Kathy Hochul—who, days after the June 7 firebombing called pro-life people “Neanderthals” and a bill to investigate pro-life pregnancy centers rather than the terrorists who attack them—and that of Antifa, the pro-abortion vandals spraypainted over CompassCare’s sign.
In the midst of this, however, lies a bigger problem – the lack of justice. Not only have there been no suspects arrested in either attack on the CompassCare center, but other acts against Christian pro-lifers are going unpunished. The Washington Post noted how the judge hearing the controversial abortion pill case and his family are facing death threats, with law enforcement doing very little to investigate them. Likewise, known communist activist “Hanoi” Jane Fonda recently appeared on The View and called for the murder of pro-life people, with no action being taken despite the clear violation a number of FCC regulations.
CompassCare CEO James Harden recently noted that another wave of violence by Jane’s Revenge and other Maoist Antifa groups is coming. Despite Harden’s specific requests to the FBI on two separate occasions, law enforcement is doing little to nothing to keep them protected.
Harden said in a recent press statement, “The reason why Kathy Hochul, Letitia James, and these Antifa terrorists (whom they have never condemned) refuse to face us publicly, in broad daylight, is because they are cowards, afraid to face the truth. The truth that we communicate every day to the community and women facing unplanned pregnancy. That truth? That all people are made in the image of God and therefore equally valuable, deserving of blessing and protection—both mother and child. And further, that abortion harms women and children, and does constitutional violence to everyone’s 14th Amendment right to equal protection under the law. In my estimation, Kathy Hochul and Letitia James are honorary members of NY’s Maoist Antifa/Jane’s Revenge terrorist cell.”
In a press release by Rep. Claudia Tenney (NY-24), Rev. Harden said, “The DOJ has been actively deprioritizing investigations into pro-life organizations like CompassCare. These investigations are handled by the DOJ’s Civil Rights division which is headed up by Kristen Clarke, a known Antifa sympathizer and public hater of pro-life pregnancy centers. Attorney General Merrick Garland is covering for her by ridiculously lying to the Senate Judiciary Committee, saying the FBI cannot make arrests because, ‘Those attacking the pregnancy resource centers…are doing this at night, in the dark….”
Harden (or CompassCare Director of Community Relations Daniel Tomlinson) joins us now to discuss this further.
Q&A:
- How concerning is it that New York State police and Federal law enforcement agencies are doing very little (or perhaps even nothing at all) to investigate these heinous attacks on pregnancy centers?
- You noted that a second wave of attacks from Jane’s Revenge or Maoist Antifa is incoming. Do you believe these attacks will continue to get worse, especially if the FDA’s approval of the chemical abortion pill is overturned?
- Why do you believe Hochul is so hellbent on investigating pregnancy centers instead of actually investigating the attacks that are taking place on them?
- Do you believe Fonda was able to get away with her comments on The View because of her fame and popularity? How concerning is it that the FCC didn’t look further into these comments? Could other Hollywood types follow suit?
- What kind of backlash are you expecting if the chemical abortion pill rule by the FDA is overturned?
