Finally, An Arrest In a Recent Attack On a Buffalo Pro-Life Center (Guest: Jim Harden)

That said, CompassCare CEO Jim Harden believes there’s still a ways to go for justice.

After waiting what feels like an eternity for any sort of justice, it looks like a CompassCare pregnancy center in Buffalo finally got just that.

Over the weekend, a suspect was arrested following a defacing of the main sign of the CompassCare location in Buffalo. Per the Amherst Police Department (APD), 39-year old Hannah Kamke was charged with one count of criminal mischief, a Class E felony, bringing with it a mandatory 1-5 year prison sentence if convicted. This would be on top of any federal charges brought forth by the Department of Justice in violation of its FACE Act.

CompassCare CEO Jim Harden was quick to praise the APD for their work, which marks the first time that an arrest has been made in related attacks to the Buffalo CompassCare since it was firebombed last June.

Harden also offered some praise to the FBI, who provided forensic analysis to link Kamke to the crime. “This arrest represents an indictment on the FBI and the hundreds of other local law enforcement agencies that have allowed the FBI to usurp their investigative duty. The FBI has less evidence for the March 16 vandalism than they do for the June 7 firebombing, yet they somehow were able to identify a suspect and make an arrest within days. We’ve been saying all along that the FBI possesses this kind of forensic power but has chosen not to employ it on behalf of pro-life people when victimized by pro-abortion Maoist Antifa,” he said in a press statement.

That said, there still seems to be a ways to go for any suspects to be charged with last summer’s firebombing, as Harden believes that the FBI still refuses to go after pro-abortion Antifa attacks on pregnancy centers. In the meantime, Harden is looking into charging Kamke with civil charges per the FACE Act.

Harden (or CompassCare Director of Community Relations Daniel Tomlinson) joins us now to discuss this further.

Q&A:

  1. Even though it’s not the full closure you were looking for in the firebombing case, how relieved are you that a suspect has been arrested and charged for defacing the sign of your CompassCare location in Buffalo?
  2. Have you decided whether or not you’re going to proceed with civil charges per the FACE Act, or are you still looking into your options?
  3. Do you believe Kamke will be convicted of the crime? And if so, could you see local police officers pursue other similar suspects? Or is it one step at a time?
  4. Despite the arrest and their assistance with forensics, you still have your doubts about the FBI and their effectively doing their job when it comes to pro-life centers. What do you think is the best hesitation on their part?
  5. Do you encourage the Senate Judiciary Committee still looking into the actions of the FBI and Department of Justice? If action is taken, do you believe you’ll finally see resolution in the firebombing case?
  6. Tell us more about CompassCare and the services you provide for those needing assistance with their pregnancy.
  7. For those that are interested in supporting CompassCare and learning more about the services they provide, where can they go?
