Donald Trump’s Campaign Push For Military – Because What Other Option is There? (Guest: Michael Letts)

The founder of InVest USA and law enforcement veteran believes that the former president may be onto something – but suggests possibly going even further.

Even with all his legal concerns, former President Donald Trump is continuing to push for a spot in the 2024 Presidential election. And during a recent campaign stop, he made an interesting point about the military.

While visiting Iowa, Trump noted how he wasn’t able to use military to quell violence in states and cities with Democratic leaders. With that, he believed he could find better use for him should he return to office in 2024.

Noting that New York City and Chicago had become “crime dens,” Trump explained, “The next time, I’m not waiting. One of the things I did was let them run it and we’re going to show how bad a job they do. Well, we did that. We don’t have to wait any longer.”

This has been a point of concern for many of Trump’s critics, but several others have noted how Trump may be onto something with pushing the military – especially at a time when migrants are coming into the United States by the thousands and crime is running rampant in a number of cities.

Joining us now to discuss the matter further is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt. Letts is President, Founder and CEO of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable groups and sponsorships. His expertise on this matter is certainly welcome.

Q&A:

  1. At a time when many people are opposing Trump’s viewpoint with the military, you believe he may have a point. Why is that?
  2. Would using military to try and bring down crime in major states be an “extreme” approach, rather than hiring more police officers to get the job done?
  3. You believe more should be done in this matter, as you were speaking about potential military tribunals for those that are doing this country harm. Can you discuss this a bit further?

  5. How do you see the 2024 Presidential Election going down?
  6. You’re the creator of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable groups and sponsorships. Tell us more about that, and why support for fellow officers is so important right now.
