The host of Sons of Liberty Radio discusses what the Constitution says in the case surrounding the reported actions of the President.
After months of pressure from his Republican colleagues, Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy has officially requested a committee look into the actions of President Joe Biden, as part of a formal impeachment inquiry.
“This logical next step will give our committees the full power to gather all the facts and answers for the American public,” McCarthy noted. “That’s exactly what we want to know, the answers.”
For months, many have been questioning the rumored actions of Biden surrounding his son, Hunter, including using his Presidential strength in business dealings with various foreign business leaders.
McCarthy noted that the claims are “credible” and “serious,” though Ian Sams, White House spokesperson for oversight and investigations, was quick to note how toothless the claims were.
“House Republicans have been investigating the President for 9 months, and they’ve turned up no evidence of wrongdoing. His own GOP members have said so,” Sams noted. “He vowed to hold a vote to open impeachment, now he flip flopped because he doesn’t have support. Extreme politics at its worst.”

- What is your personal take on the claims being made towards President Joe Biden at this point in time?
- Do you believe McCarthy has a case? You have made a note as such in Article 4 Section 4 of the Constitution, which surrounds impeachment for conviction of treason, bribery and other high crimes and misdemeanors.
- You also made note of Article 1 Section 3 Clause 7, which points out that, while judgment in cases does not extend beyond removal of Office, if the party is convicted they could be liable and subject to indictment, trial, judgment and punishment. Do you believe the case could actually get this far?
- There was also an interesting mention of Article 3 Section 3, in which the Congress shall have power to declare the punishment of treason, but no attainer shall work corruption of blood except during the life of the person attained. What made you point out this particular article?
- You really know your Constitution well. How much time have you put into studying it, and do you discuss it often on your program?
