California’s Controversial Child Gender Identity Bill Leaves Concern For Parents (Guest: Tobias Elvhage)

The producer of Gender Transformation: The Untold Realities explains why the state’s controversial new bill could create havoc for families.

It’s no secret that several states have been pushing for anti-transgender policies over the past couple of years. However, a new bill set to be signed by Governor Gavin Newsom in California is on the verge of tearing families apart.

The measure, AB 957, will incorporate parents’ “affirmation of the child’s gender identity or gender expression” into a child’s “health, safety and welfare.” In essence, it would force parents to affirm that their child’s gender identity in custody rights cases be as “a wolf in sheep’s clothing,” according to the report from The Epoch Times.

That means, once signed by Newsom, the bill will require judges to consider if a parent affirms a child’s ideas about gender transition when it comes to figuring out visitation rights or even custody.

The “wolf in sheep’s clothing” term comes from X (formerly Twitter) owner Elon Musk, who sounded off against the measure earlier last week. “What it would actually mean is that if you disagree with the other parent about sterilizing your child, you lose custody. Utter madness!”

Chloe Cole, who also had a “gender-affirming” decision at the age of 15 by having her breasts removed, also strongly opposed the bill. “This issue is wildly unpopular yet the Cali Gov pushes forward with more and more radical policies. ProtectKidsCA is trying to introduce ballot measures that will stop the sterilization of kids in California.”

As the conversation continues to gain momentum in California, we turn to Tobias Elvhage, the co-producer and co-director of the Epoch TV documentary Gender Transformation: The Untold Realities.

The latest film in The Epoch Times’ series of documentary releases takes a closer look at the topic of transgenderism and youth. It does so by exploring the roles played by the educational system, the medical and pharmaceutical industries, the financial interests behind the transgender movement, and the societal and political mechanisms being utilized.

Tobias’ knowledge on the subject will prove useful in this matter.
