The host and producer of BorderWars discusses the controversial actions by members of the U.S. House of Representatives – and what it says to Americans.
The U.S. House of Representatives managed to approve a military aid package worth $95 billion over the weekend, in an effort to support Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. However, in the midst of all this, nothing has yet been approved in terms of supporting our own borders.
Worse yet, while passing their vote for the bill, several House Democrats actually waved Ukrainian flags on the Congress floor – a sign that they were more concerned about helping other countries, rather than their own.
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., sounded off on this recently with a post on his X/Twitter account. In it, he noted, “Ukrainian flags fly in the chamber of the UNITED STATES House of Representatives as they vote to send more of your hard-earned money to a corrupt foreign regime. And just like that they shout ‘UKRAINE! UKRAINE!’ while happily working to secure Ukraine’s borders, not ours.”
What’s more, Rep. Marc Molinaro, R-NY, noted that the actions were “inappropriate” and may have been a violation of House protocol.
Joining us now to discuss this further is Nicole McCaw. The host and producer of the documentary BorderWars wanted to talk about these actions further, and what it says about the Democrats completely ignoring what’s happening at our borders.
