The Epoch Times’ Award-winning Investigative Reporter Joshua Philipp explains how China’s new plan for handling COVID-19 could very well change what is usually expected.
As the rest of the world is coming out of the end of COVID-19, China seems to be running right back into it.
Reports indicate that 250 million Mainland Chinese have contracted the virus over the past three weeks; and in a new Crossroads video, The Epoch Times does a deep drive on the numbers and,, how it could put an end to the “China model.”
“Every single policy these people wanted with COVID, the CCP had. And it failed. Not only did it fail, but it’s probably going to cause one of the biggest die-offs in the world,” Philipp explains in the video post. This transition from Zero-COVID is affecting both high-ranking CCP officials, and the general population.
Dubbing it “The Montezuma Effect,” Philipp compared elements from what occurred with the Spanish Conquistadors. History remembers what happened with them, and he believes that China could see the effects sooner rather than later – and it could also change how the CCP operates and mean they are in big trouble.

- What prompted China to alter these COVID protocols?? Were the CCP in a hurry to show they might be superior to other countries? Was it sheer arrogance or something else?

- Do you think it will get to a point that China will ask the U.S. for help, since they offered it? Or do you believe they’ll be too proud?
