The Epoch Times’ Nan Su discusses the recent moves by Xi Jinping and the CCP, and what it could mean for the U.S. in the future.
A few days ago, a Four-Star General predicted that the United States and China could find themselves in the midst of a war in just a couple of years – and now warning signs are beginning to pop up that this could happen.
A new report from Aljazeera reveals that China has conveyed support for the country of Iran, after previously making moves to side with the likes of Russia and North Korea. This could help them build up some opposition when it comes to attempting to overtake Taiwan – and, for that matter, possibly retaliating against the United States for recently shooting down a surveillance balloon.
China and Iran have worked closely before. It had signed an agreement with Russia to provide Iran with $400 billion in economic aid over a period of several years, receiving precious oil in return; and recently, it announced plans to work on an energy corridor that would connect the countries together through Pakistan. Iran’s president, Ebrahim Raisi, also met with China leader Xi Jinping this week, potentially to strengthen its relationship.
To top it off, China sounded off on its anger for the U.S. shooting down its balloon several days back, stating, “China firmly opposes this and will take countermeasures in accordance with the law against the relevant U.S. entities that undermine China’s sovereignty and security.” It also swore to “resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and its legitimate rights and interests.”
So what happens next? Here to provide some weight to the matter is Nan Su, an investigative reporter for The Epoch Times. He specializes in covering all subjects surrounding China, and has also contributed to the documentary The Final War, which covers a 100 year history of trouble between the U.S. and China, now available on Epoch TV. His expertise will prove useful in this matter.
Q&A:
- How much trouble would you say the United States is in right now surrounding what happened with the surveillance balloon? And, for that matter, reports of other similar devices being hunted and shot down?
- What do you make of this deal between China and Iran? Could it be a tremendous deal when it comes to providing military might over the U.S., as well as Taiwan?
- It appears China is forming some sort of anti-U.S. group between them, Iran, Russia and other small Asian countries, as well as possibly Saudi Arabia. Do you think this deserves a closer looking into, considering all the countries involved?
- Do you think this will have any weight with the ongoing investigation into China happening with the Judiciary Committee? Could this possibly speed up their investigation, given that a threat could be looming?
- A Four-Star General recently noted that the U.S. and China could be at war by 2025. Do you see this possibly happening? Or will matters calm down by then?
- Speaking of what’s going on with China, you recently contributed to a new Epoch Times documentary called The Final War. Tell us more about it and why it’s such a compelling subject with everything that’s happening right now.
- Where can we learn more about you and see your work over on The Epoch Times?
