Beating the Post-Holiday Blues (Guest: Dr. Debra Mandel)

Dr. Debra Mandel, author of the new book Sassy and Rude: Her New Attitude, provides some helpful tips to get over the post-holiday doldrums.

With the end of the holidays fast approaching—many people find themselves dreading going back to the day-to-day grind, even if they experienced stress over the holidays. Some can become depressed, anxious, and feel a sense of lack of purpose.

Dr. Debra Mandel understands this. An upbeat and compassionate psychologist, Mandel has written a number of books based around scenarios such as these. Her latest, Sassy and Rude: A New Attitude, takes a closer look at how to relate with adult daughters, and the “tough love” approach needed to mend those fences.

Dr. Mandel joins us now to provide some helpful advice on beating the post-holiday blues and bring in a positive outlook for the New Year, as well as discuss her new book.

Q&A:

And while your target readers are mothers and daughter, and can these concepts apply to all of our close personal relationships? (e.g. father son or daughter, mother/son, intimate partners?)
