Antisemitism Experts on Rising Hatred

Temple Tantrums: Synagogue Assault Exposes How Jewish Worship Itself Triggers Modern Antisemites and Antisemitism

Antisemitism is no longer hiding in whispers or fringe corners—it’s crashing through the front doors of Jewish institutions in America. Last week, a man drove a truck straight into a Michigan synagogue filled with families. It was not random rage. It was the latest example of a global hatred of Jews spilling into American streets. For Messianic leader and author of Romans 911, Grant Berry, a Christian who has devoted his ministry to confronting antisemitism wherever it appears, the message is clear: silence in the face of rising hatred is no longer an option. For Bible scholar and prophecy expert Mark Biltz, who closely studies the intersection of Scripture, geopolitics, and Israel, the attack reflects a disturbing trend tied to escalating tensions in the Middle East and a growing hostility toward the Jewish state.

Antisemitism

The attack occurred Thursday at Temple Israel when 41-year-old Ayman Mohamad Ghazali drove a truck into the synagogue, apparently attempting to harm those inside. Security officers shot and killed the suspect before he could injure worshippers, but the brazen nature of the attack sent shockwaves through the Jewish community.

Reports indicate Ghazali had recently lost two brothers and other relatives in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon just ten days earlier. What might have been personal grief instead manifested as an act of violence against American Jews—demonstrating how quickly anger toward Israel can morph into antisemitic violence against Jewish communities worldwide.

This follows a disturbing pattern. From increasingly aggressive protests targeting Jewish institutions to violent attacks on synagogues and Jewish families, antisemitism has surged in recent years. As tensions rise between the United States, Israel, Iran, and their regional proxies, many fear that hostility toward Israel is increasingly being redirected toward Jews everywhere.

Grant Berry, founder of Reconnecting Ministries and creator of the Romans 9-11 Project, has spent years warning Christians about the spiritual and moral danger of antisemitism—and urging the Church to confront it directly.

Pastor Mark Biltz, founder and senior pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Washington State and a leading voice on biblical prophecy and Israel, studies how global events often mirror patterns described in Scripture and believes the current rise in antisemitism must be understood in that broader historical and prophetic context.

Either guest can discuss:

  • How antisemitism tied to Middle East tensions is increasingly manifesting inside the United States
  • Why attacks on Jewish institutions often follow geopolitical events involving Israel
  • The difference between criticism of Israeli policy and antisemitic violence
  • How faith communities—especially Christians—should respond when antisemitism rises
  • Whether escalating tensions with Iran and its proxies could further inflame anti-Jewish hostility globally

Grant Berry or Mark Biltz can provide both a moral and geopolitical lens on this troubling trend—and explain why confronting antisemitism now is more urgent than ever.
