The Epoch Times’ Joshua Philipp discusses what’s happening in China, and how it could tie in with its plans for the United States.
While COVID-19 appears to be mostly under control in other countries, it continues to run rampant in China.
Even though Vice Premier Sun Chunlan noted that the virus was at a “relatively low” level within the country, there are contradicting reports indicating that hospitals are overrun with patients who have the virus. Furthermore, funeral homes are also reporting record highs in terms of deaths.
That said, the government has estimated that more than two billion trips are expected to take place across China this year – including several international flights. And that has some people concerned that COVID could possibly be reintroduced to countries with new variants – including the United States.
Here to speak with us on this subject is Joshua Philipp, an investigative reporter and producer for The Epoch Times. Joshua recently worked on a new documentary, The Final War: The 100-Year Old Plot To Defeat America, which focuses on the rise of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and how they’ve become such a threat to our country. - What are your thoughts on what’s happening with COVID in China right now?
- Are you surprised that officials for the country are brushing off COVID like it’s no big deal, in spite of the fact that hospitals and funeral homes are heavily overrun?
- From what we’ve heard from other reports (including some from Epoch Times reporter Nan Su), China could very well be trying to get everyone infected in the hopes of “clearing out” any dangers with COVID. How morbid does this plan sound, and do you think it could backfire as the country tries to boost its economy?
- The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been performing all sorts of heinous actions over the years, including a reported 80 million deaths of Chinese citizens since 1949. How much of a danger do you believe they truly pose?
- Do you think the newly formed committee (put together by the House of Congress) to investigate the actions of the CCP will make progress? Or could China’s military and monetary might possibly stand in the way of a fair investigation?
- You recently produced a documentary called The Final War: The 100-Year Old Plot To Defeat America. Tell us more about what viewers can expect from this, and why you think now is the best time to watch it, especially with what’s happening in China.
