Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains committed to eradicating Hamas once and for all.
Even with everything that’s happening between Iran and the United States at the moment, Israel hasn’t lost focus on what Hamas has been up to in the Gaza Strip – and former Mayor of Shiloh David Rubin, Founder and President of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund has weighed in on a crucial strike that just took place.
- Two people were killed in the strike, including Mohammed Abu Alwan, who serves as head of the financial department for Hamas.
- Following the strike, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made it clear that Israel will not rest until “there is no Hamas in Gaza.”
- Hamas has not yet responded to the attack, but this could potentially reignite conflict between the two them and Israel after a temporary ceasefire.
A new report from the Times of Israel confirmed that a crucial strike on the southern Gaza Strip has resulted in the death of a top financial official for Hamas. Mohammed Abu Alwan, who serves as head of Hamas’ financial department, was killed, along with another party.

But it was what came after the attack that stood out, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowing to remove Hamas from the Gaza Strip once and for all.
“We continue to pursue Hamas commanders and operatives, strike its sources of funding, and destroy its terror infrastructure,” he said in a statement alongside Defense Minister Israel Katz. “We will not allow Hamas to rebuild its strength, and we will not stop until there is no Hamas in Gaza.”
Even though there was a temporary ceasefire in place, Israel clearly hasn’t forgotten about the October 7 attack by Hamas, when over 1,200 people, including civilians, were killed.
The question now is what comes next. Will Hamas continue to push back, or will Israel finally do what is needed to push them out of the area once and for all?
Rubin, who has been in Israel throughout the conflict, joins us now to discuss this situation further. Welcome, David!

About David Rubin…
David Rubin and his three-year-old son, narrowly escaped heinous deaths at the hands of terrorists. Had it not been for his car suddenly starting, Rubin and his son would not have been so fortunate. The younger Rubin deals with the trauma to this day. That experience is what led David to establish the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, to help other young victims of Islamic terrorism, who need to process and deal with their trauma. Rubin, also the former Mayor of Shiloh, Israel is the author of seven books, including his latest, Confronting Radicals: What America Can Learn from Israel, which has recently been made into a movie. Rubin is the founder and president of Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, established after he and his then three-year-old son were wounded in a terror attack.
