Donald Trump’s peace plan with Iran has apparently gone up in smoke. So where does this leave Israel?
Just weeks after President Donald Trump was discussing a ceasefire with Iran, it now appears that this is been set aside, with military strikes taking place between Iran and the United States. But the real question is what happens next, and Founder and President of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, former Mayor of Shiloh David Rubin definitely has concerns.
- With fresh military strikes taking place between Iran and the United States, it appears that the ceasefire initially put in place by the latter is now no longer happening, leaving to the possibility of war restarting.
- Israel is reportedly keeping a close eye on the situation, and may find itself involved in the conflict as tensions rise.
- Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz have held security consultations following the strikes between the two sides.
Strikes began kicking back into high gear on Wednesday evening, with Trump promising even more in an effort to try and get ships moving through the Strait of Hormuz again. Trump has promised that “anything that happens is going to be over very quickly,” but some parties – like Israel – aren’t so sure.
In fact, Israeli defense is already keeping a close eye on the situation, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz are currently in security consultations to see where the situation leads next.
So will conflict once again reach a critical point? And, for that matter, will Israel take more of an active part this time around?
