Founder of Reconnecting Ministries Grant Berry discusses the alarming number of anti-Israel demonstrations worldwide.
As if the growing hatred against Israel and, for that matter, Jewish people wasn’t concerning enough, Fox News has uncovered a new global network of groups that have coordinated “Nakba 78” protests across the globe – bringing a new level of antisemitism to the surface, according to Reconnecting Ministries Founder Grant Berry.
Approximately 425 organizations – communist groups, anti-Israel activist coalitions and Muslim advocacy teams alike – have gathered together through a protest network that actually makes approximately $1 billion in annual revenues. They managed to execute an estimated 736 events through 39 countries over this past weekend, including locations in New York, Los Angeles, Sydney and more.
These protests are known for marking the “Nakba,” which serves as an Arabic word meaning “catastrophe,” which is consistently used by Palestinians when it comes to the creation of Isreal and the general displacement of Palestinians.
These protests, according to Middle East scholar Dalia Ziada, reflect a “sinful marriage between the radical left and radical Islamism, the groups that hate Western liberal democracies and desire to destroy them.”
What’s scary about protests such as these is how well funded they are. A New York City event alone at the People’s Forum brought in funding by a Marxist tech mogul, Neville Roy Singham, meaning protests like this are actually well funded.
This is just the latest example of antisemitism that has grown out of control over the past few years, putting Jewish people right in the crosshairs. But where does it end? And, at this point, can it?
Grant Berry, who is the Founder of Reconnecting Ministries and also runs the Romans 911 network, joins us now to discuss the situation further.
Q&A:
- Where do you think this alarming amount of antisemitism and hatred towards Jews stems from? The ongoing conflict with Israel and Hamas? Or does it go beyond that?
- Why are we seeing more and more people take the Palestinian side, rather than seeing the situation from Israel’s perspective?
- Now we’re seeing the Nakba 78 movement, consisting of various organizations holding protests across several cities. How concerning is it to see an operating network that generates hatred for Israel and Jewish people?
- For that matter, how alarming is it to see that some of these events are well funded by Marxists and other types?
- Can anything be done at this point? Or has the fire against Israel and Jews grown so far out of control that it can’t be stopped?
- Tell us more about the Romans 911 audiobook, as well as the Romans 911 podcast.
- Where can we find Romans 911 and learn more about it?
- There are two websites: Romans911.org, which introduces the project; and our main website, ReconnectingMinistries.com.
