Spymaster on Politician Buying Zorro Ranch

Sorrow at Zorro: Politician Buys Pedophile Ranch and Crime Scene; Plans to Convert into ‘Christian’ Retreat

The story of Jeffrey Epstein’s Zorro Ranch has taken an explosive new turn that demands public attention. Robert Eringer knows a thing or two about the sick, elite sexual culture in the intelligence world. He set up the intelligence apparatus in Monaco for Prince Albert. Something he didn’t count on was seeing next-level depravity firsthand.

Once one of the most mysterious and least-scrutinized properties linked to Epstein’s network of sex trafficking and abuse, the sprawling New Mexico estate is now owned by Don Huffines, a prominent Texas Republican running for state comptroller — and the revelations surrounding this purchase raise profound questions about justice, legacy, and political accountability.

Originally acquired by Epstein in 1993, Zorro Ranch sits on nearly 10,000 acres near Stanley, New Mexico, complete with a massive hacienda-style mansion, private airstrip, and guest houses. Despite survivor testimony about sexual abuse occurring there — including allegations from Virginia Giuffre and others — the property escaped the thorough federal investigations that targeted Epstein’s other estates. Former Governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson was identified by Giuffre as being one of her abusers. Bolstering this claim is the reality that Richardson’s name was circled in Epstein’s Black Book (names identified by Epstein House Manager Alfredo Rodriguez as belonging to guilty perpetrators were circled in the book).

In 2023, Huffines’s family purchased the property through a limited liability company, later renaming it San Rafael Ranch. Huffines has described the acquisition as an opportunity to convert the infamous site into a Christian retreat and claims the proceeds went to Epstein’s victims. A campaign spokesperson says the family was never approached by law enforcement and would fully cooperate if asked.

But this development has triggered fresh controversy. New Mexico legislators have unanimously approved a bipartisan investigation, a so-called “truth commission,” to uncover what occurred at the ranch under Epstein’s ownership and why it remained largely unexamined by authorities for decades. The commission, with subpoena power and a multimillion-dollar budget, will collect testimony from survivors and local residents and examine whether officials failed to act on allegations of sex trafficking and abuse.

Independent journalist Robert Eringer has been at the forefront of reporting on Zorro Ranch’s history and the broader unanswered questions it presents. His recent Substack piece on Zorro Ranch also highlights notable connections from the recently released Epstein Files Transparency Act documents, including reference to former New Mexico governor Bill Richardson — whose name appeared in Epstein’s own little black book and was cited in court filings by Giuffre alleging she was trafficked to powerful individuals at the ranch.

Eringer can speak to why Huffines’s purchase, the renaming of the estate, and the timing of the legislative probe represent a critical moment of reckoning. He can unpack: the history of alleged abuse at Zorro Ranch; why it evaded thorough investigation for so long; the implications of powerful figures connected through Epstein’s circles; and whether renaming and converting the site actually honors or erases the evidentiary and moral record.
