Woman Pregnant with Triplets comes Face to Face with Fateful Decision
At 40, “Mary Anne” thought her days of raising babies were behind her. A devoted mom to three children, she called a tiny two-room apartment home. She was managing to get by. But her life was upended when she discovered she was pregnant—with triplets. This unexpected curveball will most certainly change her life. However, Mary Anne’s financial situation is a dominant factor in how it will change. She most certainly doesn’t want to end the lives of her three unborn children. The problem is that external factors are making that decision much more difficult.
Her apartment is too small, her car doesn’t have enough seats, and without reliable transportation, finding work is impossible. Overwhelmed and out of options, “Mary Anne” scheduled an abortion for January 2nd and 3rd. She dreads making that decision.
A little thing called hope may just intervene
A compassionate sidewalk counselor connected “Mary Anne” with Let Them Live, a nonprofit dedicated to helping women choose life by providing the practical and financial support they need. With your help, we can empower “Mary Anne” to keep her babies and rebuild her life.
Emily Berning, president and founder of Let Them Live says that while Mary Anne’s story is certainly a unique outlier in terms of scope (the three abortions would need to take place over two days), the circumstances of her situation are consistent with those of so many other would-be mothers, who don’t want to terminate the lives of their unborn children but see no other way out based almost exclusively on financial factors.
