With Iran Threatening a Counterattack to our Counterattack, where does it all end, and what Constitutes a ‘Just’ War?

With Iran now threatening to counterattack the U.S. counterattack, it begs the question: Where will this all end? Will the draft be re-instituted? And will this lead to World War 3?

But perhaps the bigger question is: What constitutes a ‘just’ war?

Helping answer these moral military questions is former U.S. Navy Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt, a former military intelligence officer, having worked daily for three years with DIA, CIA, and the NSA. Gordon also has a Bachelor’s Degree in international affairs.

Q&A:

  1. Do you feel the U.S. was justified in killing Qassem Soleimani, the military head of Iran’s Quds Military Forces and why?
  2. What constitutes a ‘just’ war?
  3. Tell us what you are able to about your past experience as a military intelligence offer and what are some of the parallels between your past military work and what’s going on today with regard to Iran, Israel and the Middle East.
  4. Do you think the draft will be re-instituted and do you think it should be?
  5. You were kicked out of the military. What was that about?
  6. Where may we get more information on you, your organization and the work you do?
