The former Mayor of Shiloh discusses the likelihood that the countries will soon take their conflict to another level.
The situation between Israel and Hamas has escalated very quickly over the past month, to the point that Iran and Hezbollah have increased their firing of missiles on northern Israel. In Israel, the word on the street is that all-out war is inevitable.
This comes after several military strikes from Israel have wiped out a number of senior commanders and strategic targets within Lebanon, and with Hezbollah launching more drones and rockets. Along with Israel’s increasing success in intensified fighting in parts of Gaza, where the Hamas terror organization is still holding 120 Israeli civilians captive, the likelihood of the long-awaited showdown in Lebanon has increased exponentially.
So will this lead to war? Or is there a chance that some sort of political agreement can be broached before Lebanon and Israel explode in a war that may include Iran?
Joining us now to discuss this further is David Rubin, former Mayor of Shiloh and founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. His first-hand knowledge of what’s happening in Israel and the Middle East make him a perfect guest for this show. Welcome, David.
