Will Hamas Listen To the Growing Protests?

Reconnecting Ministries founder Grant Berry discusses the growing number of protests, mainly calling for an end to the long-running fight against Israel.

Over the past few days, there has been an alarming increase in protests on the Gaza Strip, with Palestinians actually protesting against Hamas. But why?

According to Time Magazine, three big reasons have come into play.

The first involves a simple demand to allow people on the Gaza strip to live and have access to food, something that has proven impossible with the conflict between Hamas and Israel. Despite the attempts by several humanitarian groups, it’s been more than an uphill struggle.

The second calls for a general end to the war as a whole, as they simply don’t believe Hamas has a chance at victory. On top of that, they feel that the “death, displacement and the threats of expulsion it creates” are big factors as well, even with the ceasefires that have taken place.

But the big one, according to the article, is the demand for Hamas to simply step down and leave governance to those that are more skilled in the matter. This seems like an act of no confidence, something that Hamas should be taking very seriously.

The question is, however, will they? Or will the protests continue to grow to the point that more people could potentially be put in danger?

Joining us now is Grant Berry, founder of Reconnecting Ministries and host of the Romans 911 Podcast, as well the live streaming show Romans 911 Project Talks. His expertise in what’s happening in Israel right now makes him an ideal guest for this subject. We welcome him to the show.
