Law enforcement veteran Michael Letts takes a closer look at the Bureau’s actions.
The FBI’s behavior is under fire, and for many reasons. A new report on Fox News indicates that it could be singling out Christians for excessive investigation. This internal document from the Bureau’s office in Richmond, Virginia, noting that it tried to look into “radical traditionalist Catholics and their ideology.”
Former FBI agent and whistleblower Kyle Seraphin, , appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show last week to provide further weight to the matter. “They have found a gateway in what they think is fringe Catholicism in order to move into Christians in general and declare them to be the actual criminals in this country or potential terrorists,” he explained.
Seraphin also believes that the document was written by someone with firm belief in abortion rights, as well as the LGBTQ agenda being “pushed down the American people’s throats.”
This could show further bias surrounding the FBI’s decision-making as of late – and could give the Judiciary committee’s investigation into the bureau more weight.
Here to discuss the matter further is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt. Letts is the founder, president and CEO for InVest USA, a group that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable organizations and sponsorships. His expertise will prove useful in this matter.
Q&A:
- With all the reports from whistleblowers and former employees, would you say that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is all-out corrupt? Or more along the lines of “problematic”?
- We’ve heard in the past about how the FBI conducted investigations on Americans with varied opinions on the Internet. Now apparently Christians are becoming a target. How scary is it to see “selective” cases come up from this?
- Why do you think director Christopher Wray hasn’t spoken much about these alleged investigations? Could his silence serve as further proof that these are actually happening? Or is he being told to keep quiet from someone up above?
- Will this situation provide further fuel with the Judiciary Committee’s investigation into the FBI and the Department of Justice?
- What does the FBI need to do to “right the ship,” as it were? Does Christopher Wray need to step down? Or is the agency as a whole just in need of an overhaul?
- Where would you say the FBI’s problems began? Back in Mar-a-Lago? Or perhaps even before that?
- You’re the creator of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable groups and sponsorships. Tell us more about that, and why support for fellow officers is so important right now.
- We understand that InVest USA is also actively involved with Twitter. Where can interested parties learn more?
