CompassCare CEO Jim Harden discusses some new FOIA documents, accusing the agencies of singling out these citizens unfairly for criminal behavior.
At a time when mothers should’ve been celebrated with this week’s Mother’s Day, the FBI and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) don’t seem to be in that kind of mood.
Last week, several FOIA documents obtained by American First Legal appeared online, suggesting that both of these departments had a new target in their sights – pro-life mothers. The documents note how these citizens are being singled out as terror threats, consistent with FBI actions creating threat tags for agents to be aware of “pro-life adherence” and to keep a close eye on pro-life Catholics, as well as pregnancy centers. This comes at a time when pro-life entities and pregnancy centers are coming under consistent threats from Jane’s Revenge and other Maoist Antifa groups, following last summer’s reversal of Roe vs. Wade by the Supreme Court.
Rev. Jim Harden, CEO of CompassCare pregnancy centers, sounded off on these documents, stating, “These new revelations of the DHS focus on pro-life moms as potential domestic terror threats confirm a pattern of criminal behavior to shut down public pro-life activity by depriving pro-life citizens of their 1st and 14th Amendment rights.”
He added, “Apparently the government is afraid of the power of middle-aged, pro-life moms. After all, ‘the hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world.’”
With that, Harden noted that redoubled efforts by both the Senate and House Judiciary are needed when it comes to their investigation of these government agencies. He also calls for State Governors, Attorneys General and local Sheriffs to provide additional protection for pro-life citizens, considering that they’re coming under fire from both federal agencies as well as pro-abortion advocates who turn to violence.
Harden joins us now to discuss this matter further.
Q&A:
- Are you shocked at all that the FBI and Department of Homeland Security are potentially acting against pro-life mothers and Catholics? Do you think they actually believe that they’re potential “terror threats?”
- Do you believe they’re answering to someone higher up, perhaps within the Biden administration? Do you think their failure to convict any criminals attacking hundreds of pro-life organizations is related to these new revelations?
- Could these papers push the Judiciary Committee to heighten their efforts, looking at the FBI and other justice agencies? Or could someone potentially stand in their way?
- It seems the battle over abortion is becoming more unstable as we go into the summer season. Do you possibly see any sort of justice for criminal acts against pregnancy centers, or will they continue going unresolved?
- What can people do if they’re looking for protection against pro-abortion types, like Jane’s Revenge?
