Who is To Blame For the Massacre That Just Took Place In Gaza (Guest: David Rubin)

The former Mayor of Shiloh explains why Hamas is to blame for the tragedy that resulted in more than 100 deaths this week.

Earlier this week, a delivery was set to take place on Harun a-Rashid Street in Gaza, with aid trucks bringing necessary supplies to citizens.

However, in the midst of boxes being taken off trucks, an attack took place, resulting in the death of over 100 people.

Some conflicting reports indicated that Israeli soldiers attacked Palestinians stealing supplies off the trucks, believing they were under attack. However, other reports indicate that Hamas soldiers were attempting to ambush the trucks, leading to retaliation by Israeli forces.

So what happened? And for that matter, what happens now? Helping us answer this question is David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and Founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. Welcome, Mayor Rubin.

Q&A:

  1. So what do you think happened with this attack?
  2. Why are some outlets indicating that this was the fault of Israeli soldiers? Are they an easy target in this case?
  3. What does this say about the growing situation between Israel and Hamas? Could this attack make matters worse?
  4. How do you think Israel will respond to this attack? And, for that matter, Hamas as well?
  5. Do you think other countries will respond to what happened? Including the United States?
  6. Could what’s happening in Israel play a part in how the 2024 Presidential Election will take place in the United States? Do you believe Biden will try to drum up sympathy to his advantage?
  7. Tell us more about the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, and where people can go to support those in need.
